Navigating life isn't as easy as it looks sometimes. Depression, anxiety, and abuse are more common than people think. Family issues, partner issues, sudden behavioral changes, unexpected life adjustments, they all can have an impact on how we perceive life. Our perception often becomes our reality and sometimes our reality feels stuck. Rewriting your story can be a release from the past as much as writing a new chapter in life can be the change people seek. You have strengths to use against your limitations and parts of yourself that need attending.

I work with clients experiencing trauma, burnout, and life transitions like divorce. I love to use creativity as a therapeutic way to allow you to express yourself and to make sessions more fun, using art, music/singing, writing, and more. I work with all ages, and have solid experience with kids and teens as well. I use interventions including: CBT, DBT, ACT, ART, IFS, EFT solution focused therapy and Logotherapy. I enjoy working with young adults, adults in life transitions, adoptees, Individuals experiencing Grief, and people looking to heal and create positive change in their lives.

We all experience difficult times in life, and we all need connection through relationships. I believe therapy is one avenue to process and explore painful situations while working on improving relationships with partners, parents, children, etc. Our experiences impact how we communicate and perceive others’ messages.

The challenges we face as individuals, as a community, and as a society can have a profound impact on the way we view the world, ourselves and others. Exposure to multiple adverse life experiences over time (experienced directly or in anticipation of adverse experiences) can progressively increase symptoms of anxiety, depression, clinical, and sub-clinical PTSD and even impact the state and health of our bodies. Adverse life experiences are often stored in the body and can be coded to our DNA. Somatic forms of therapy such as EMDR and Brainspotting help to adjust this lens by integrating and fully reprocessing adverse experiences.

So many of us struggle with feeling like we are "Not Enough". It's a constant battle to face each day with a smile, pretending everything is okay when deep down we are falling apart. Sometimes all we need is someone to truly listen, someone to guide us, someone to understand and support us through the darkest of times.
