I am dedicated to equipping children, teens,adults and families with effective skills to reduce stress. People with anxiety and mood disorders,exceptional learning, behavioral and emotional needs are welcome. Athletes who want to improve focus and reduce anxiety are taught individually-tailored effective skills. I use American Sign Language with deaf and hard-of-hearing children and adults. I work well with people who have gaps in social and language skills common to Asperger's Disorder, High Functioning Autism, and various learning disorders. I use research-based approaches such as cognitive-behavioral, mindfulness-based, and solution-focused family therapy.

Every person has the ability to overcome obstacles. I am here to provide what is needed to see you through that process. Whatever your challenges, we will move together carefully and consciously in an open, non-judgmental and supportive environment. The process of change can happen subtly and steadily or a realization can burst into a huge leap forward. As insight and strength grow, you will be naturally inspired to make concrete and positive change. After serving in the field of mental health for 25 years, I have seen evidence of our work in the confidence and successes of my clients.

I have extensive experience working with adults, children, and families with emotional and behavioral disorders including mood disorders (depression, bipolar disorder), anxiety, ADHD, developmental disorders, autism spectrum disorders, physical disabilities, PTSD, and personality disorders. I work with people struggling with transition and stress management, aiding them to establish, maintain, and respect interpersonal boundaries.

LaTanya is a pre-licensed professional with a Master of Social Work and a Master of Education in Human Sexuality Studies from Widener University. She also holds and Trauma Practice Certificate from Widener University. She provides LGBT+ knowledgeable, trauma-focused psychotherapy and Brainspotting services to individuals over 18. She is a problem gambling counselor and a nationally certified sign language interpreter. LaTanya is currently receiving clinical supervision from Niki Kulp, MSS, LCSW. Session Fee: $100/$150

With over 25 years of experience in this field, I am unique and eclectic in my approach. Are you an individual amidst a transition, soul-searching phase or seem to be stuck or uncertain in the next phase of their journey, I can help. While I can assist with a wide variety of challenges and difficulties, I specialize in trauma, as related to depression, anxiety, OCD, ADHD, ASD and special education. I utilize a variety of tools and techniques such as: cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and Acceptance-Commitment therapy (ACT). I am a lifelong teacher, learner and survivor, and I offer a toolbox full of coping skills and psychoeducation to help work through the healing process and the empowerment journey.
