I really enjoy working with women and the queer community, especially around issues such as trauma, self-esteem, depression, and anxiety.

I have over 20 years of experience working with adolescents and adults who are in need of mental health counseling to address life issues of stress, depression, anxiety, addiction, work issues, relationships, sexual issues and family dynamic issues. I enjoy helping individuals learn new coping skills for depression and anxiety. I also specialize with individuals who have trauma and grief and will help you resolve those issues. I especially enjoy working with families and couples in learning how to resolve conflict and improve intimacy, communication and trust issues. Dr. Gerald (Jerry) Hayes received his BAA from the University of Florida, a master’s degree in mental health counseling from Gannon University, and his Doctor of Psychology from Wright State University’s School of Professional Psychology. Over the past 22 years, he has worked as a clinical psychologist in a variety of clinical settings including community mental health, hospitals, and private practice. Dr. Hayes has also worked in college mental health for the past 16 years.

My name is Joe Humphries. I am an LPCC and have been practicing in the Youngstown area for the past 18 years. I work with all ages and can help you address problems with depression, anxiety, relationship issues, adjustment problems, and grief. Other areas of focus in my practice include: Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, parenting skills training, anger management, behavior management, and Attention Deficit Disorder.
