Christina specializes in working in early childhood mental health and sees young children from birth and up to age 6 and works closely with their caregivers providing parenting skills and focusing on strengthening relationships. Christina is a Registered Play Therapist and sees children up to the age of 12. Christina believes that play therapy offers a way to empower children and provides a space for them to heal from traumatic experiences, express their emotions in productive ways, and feel encouraged to move beyond their difficult situations, and all through their natural language which is PLAY.

Christina enjoys working with individuals, couples and families helping support them in making changes they want to make. She has her B.A. in Sociology and Diversity Studies from SCSU and her M.S. in MHC from Walden University. She is an LPCC, Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor in the State of MN. Christina has worked 10 years in clinical counseling. She has 24 additional years working with children, and families with services that are person-centered, strength-based and therapeutic. She has worked in foster and long-term residential based programs, as well as crisis, substance abuse treatment, vocational and education areas.

I have 4+ years of experience in working with trauma in all ages and genders. I utilize Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) and it is helping so many people in a short amount of time!
