Christina enjoys working with individuals, couples and families helping support them in making changes they want to make. She has her B.A. in Sociology and Diversity Studies from SCSU and her M.S. in MHC from Walden University. She is an LPCC, Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor in the State of MN. Christina has worked 10 years in clinical counseling. She has 24 additional years working with children, and families with services that are person-centered, strength-based and therapeutic. She has worked in foster and long-term residential based programs, as well as crisis, substance abuse treatment, vocational and education areas.

Welcome! I found my niche as a therapist when I became aware of the disability rights movement when the Americans with Disabilities Act was passed. From then on my clients have been my best teachers when it comes to developing their disability identity and increasing my disability competence. As an ally I have the privilege of seeing clients with many disabilities, chronic health conditions, and DSM 5 diagnoses. Below are some life work experiences that built this specialty and often my clients tell me it is witnessing personal growth and exploration of disability community and culture that opens the door to our work together.

My goal is to provide a safe and empowering environment for clients to share problems and stressors. Since 2008, I have worked with clients struggling with a variety of challenges such as depression, anxiety, addiction, co-occurring disorders, family strain, low self-esteem/confidence, audism, isolation, and communication barriers.

We provide guidance for individuals moving toward their most fulfilling and meaningful lives. We utilize an integrative approach of evidence-based treatment modalities and techniques that support lifestyle changes including biofeedback, neurofeedback, mind-body medicine, physiological psychotherapy, eco-therapy, and mindfulness.
