We provide Neuroeducational testing services addressing autism, learning disabilities, etc. Our philosophy is to rule out differential diagnoses, identify an individual’s strengths and areas of need and consult with parents to help them best advocate for their child. We provide families with Individualized Support Plans that are developed through meaningful and targeted assessment and consultation. All psychologists at Summit are dual-licensed clinical psychologists and school psychologists who specialize in evaluating and supporting children and young people.

I work with all parts of you that are willing and able to show up, to better understand where big (and sometimes lonely and scary) emotions, thought patterns, and behaviors are coming from and how to move forward with these. I work with highly-motivated adults who wish to dig deep and heal.

I am a licensed professional counselor and have been in private practice since 1989. I work with adolescents and adults in a nurturing therapeutic relationship to reinforce the strengths my clients already have. We then work together to bolster more effective coping skills and develop authentic fulfillment using a mind, body and spirit-centered approach to self-discovery. My strengths in treating clients include depression, anxiety, post-partum depression, thorough knowledge of psychiatric medications and eating disorders.

Sometimes we all may feel anxious or depressed but cannot identify the reasons. Other times we might experience mood swings, or have suffered trauma as children, adolescents, young adults and even abused substances to dull the senses. During these times, a therapist can offer you insight into your situations that you may not see. As a partnership, therapist and patient collaborate on goals the patient wishes to strive for, while the therapists skillfully uses tools, experiential techniques, exercises to help affect the change patients seeks.

I utilize nature, play, energy, and animal-assisted therapy to help support the healing journey. Clients come seeking support for various reasons but I specialize in trauma and attachment, parenting for children who are struggling, empowerment and self-esteem. Using methods like expressive arts, yoga, partnering with nature and animals, healing happens emotionally, spiritually, cognitively and physically. I have a laid back style and you will often find me dressed in sweats or yoga pants.

Sometimes life can get pretty tricky and have us feeling stuck, unsure, and discouraged. The therapeutic journey involves taking courageous steps in order to move forward, gain self-acceptance, and reconnect with yourself in new ways. I believe that you are the expert of your own life, thus my goal in counseling is to provide you with a safe, nonjudgmental environment where you feel free to explore.
