I want to empower my clients to find their best version of themselves, their whole happy healthy individuality and do so by helping anyone needing services and welcome all communities and persons to work with me. Mental health is just as real as physical health and believe that everyone needs to have their voice and inner self heard.

I am a generalist who works with adult clients on a variety of different issues including depression, insomnia, anxiety and panic, PTSD, anger, relationships, parenting, and many other concerns. I also conduct bariatric and spinal cord stimulator pre-surgical evaluations.

I am also fluent in American Sign Language and have a wealth of knowledge regarding the Deaf and CODA cultures. Hi there, my name is Afsoun (Angie) Zarrabian and I am Licensed Marriage Family Therapist (LMFT). I am current member of California Association of Marriage and Family Therapist (CAMFT). I speak Farsi and I am fluent in American Sign Language. My style and approach is a good fit for young adults and individuals who may be dealing with anxiety, depression, stress, life transitions, trauma, and social pressures. Since graduating from New York University with an MSW degree, I have been working as a psychotherapist. My clinical approach combines cognitive behavior therapy (CBT) and a strengths-based process to trigger goal-oriented actions. I am DBT informed and trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). I have extensive experience with individual, family, couples, and group therapies. I am fluent in American Sign Language and have worked closely with the Deaf and Hard of Hearing communities. I see a mix of Deaf, hard of hearing, and hearing clientele of all ages.

I tend to be very interactive, and goal directed; we work together to see if you are meeting your goals, and if not, why not. My orientation is a "YOU" centered one, where I may use any number of techniques including EMDR for trauma, Transactional Analysis for understanding your communication style, assertiveness training, and movement therapy to further the mind body connection.
