Dr. Askari Asante is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist with over 20 years of experience in mental health care. He has worked with clients of diverse backgrounds across the entire age spectrum, beginning his career working with children and families and most recently working with senior populations in nursing homes. He is most passionate about helping adults working through issues of depression, anxiety, life transition management, and issues of identity and sexuality. After graduating from Dartmouth, Askari completed his Master of Psychology (M.S.) and Doctorate of Counseling Psychology (Ph.D.) at the University of Memphis.
Askari has worked in college counseling centers, with children and their families, in senior care facilities, in state psychiatric hospitals, and in community mental health. These varied experiences have allowed him to thrive with clients of many different backgrounds using a variety of treatment styles to help them meet their life's goals.
