I know that making the decision to enter into therapy can be a difficult one. I have great respect for individuals, couples and families that make the choice to begin therapy and start or continue their healing process. My belief is that every individual has the inherent gift to heal themselves. It can be challenging to find the answers you seek.

I truly believe that sometimes life is not always fair and square. Our life can be full of obstacles and doing it alone may not always work for some. Many of us go through these obstacles and need an environment that is supportive. My goal is to provide you with a safe, non-judgmental, compassionate, mindful environment where you will feel empowered and supported to make your own life decisions. I am also a Native Hawaiian that has grown up in Hawai’i and understand the cultural aspects there is for mental health.

Terilyn “Teri” Keliinoi is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with 20 years post master’s and 11 years post LCSW experience. She has worked with children, teens and adults in hospital based acute and residential settings, outpatient clinics, as well as early intervention, school based behavioral health and hospice agencies.

When you have stress or trauma in your life, it can feel overwhelming and life can unravel. Your children are acting out, your teen is being suspended or involved with law enforcement, or your younger child won't stop misbehaving at school. These are all stressful family situations that can feel overwhelming to anyone. My passion is to bring healing to people who have been through traumatic or stressful experiences.

We all encounter pain and loss at various points throughout our lives. I believe that these experiences are complex and often derived from our relationships to people and systems. I hope to explore with you the ways you have attached meaning to these relationships and assist you in developing insight around how they have impacted various areas of your life. I also aim to help you understand your experiences in the context of other systemic influences. In doing so, I believe you will find more opportunities to experience healing and a greater sense of freedom and agency in the world.
