I completed my master's internship at UNMC Counseling and Psychological Services where I had the opportunity to work with graduate and medical students. During this time, I started integrating neuroscience into treatment planning. I have found this evidence-based approach resonates well with my clients because they can better understand the way that they respond to their environment and how their internal processing frames the way in which they view the world.
My approach accounts for the continuing expansion and understanding of control we have over our well-being. This approach includes a scientifically supported foundation for clients to not only take back control of their life but also acquire skills that may be necessary to navigate the road ahead.
Whether you are just starting your mental health journey or looking for a change to your current pursuit, it takes courage to seek support. Taking the step to seek that support is commendable.
