I decided to become a therapist because I believe everyone deserves a healthy and happy life, and good mental health is crucial for that. I struggled with anxiety and social anxiety as a child, which caused difficulties growing up and had a big impact on my life. Mental health has been too long ignored, denied, and neglected. At NOCD, my team and I specialize in providing evidence-based treatment for people with OCD. Our deep understanding of the nuances of OCD enables us to properly diagnose and treat it. We have received intensive training in Exposure Response and Prevention Therapy (ERP)—the gold standard treatment for OCD.
Starting NOCD therapy may look intimidating, but you will be working with your NOCD therapist the whole time and planning therapy together. You will have access to messaging your therapist on days when you need a little extra help, exercises to help guide your journey, and a wonderful community to support you.
If at any point you feel anxious or even scared about telling me something, that is totally normal. We all struggle with opening up to someone, myself included. If it takes some time for you to start trusting me, that's OK. This is truly a judgment-free zone; nothing you say will shock me, even if OCD is trying to tell you otherwise.
