I am not currently accepting new clients for individual therapy but do have openings for DBT group. I'm a psychotherapist licensed in Maine and Florida. I have experience providing individual and group counseling and enjoy helping individuals move towards growth and healing. I believe having an emphasis on collaboration and creating a nonjudgmental space is essential for building trust and allowing therapeutic work. I believe in treating the whole individual and not just the “symptoms”. My approach to treatment is a person-centered approach, meaning allowing clients to voice the areas they wish to work on in therapy.
Counseling is an excellent way to learn skills, develop self-awareness and confidence, practice new behaviors, and better understand how to cope with some of the issues/concerns life presents. For Maine, I'm contracted with MaineCare and some private insurances. Individuals with other private insurances can be provided an itemized bill/super bill to seek reimbursement from the insurance company or to go towards the deductible. I am recently licensed in Florida and still working on getting in network with Florida private insurances.

Groups
DBT skills training group (telehealth 90mins)
This is a virtual psychosocial skills training group that uses dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) as an evidence-based practice model to teach skills to identify and change behavioral, emotional, and thinking patterns associated with problems in your life. Modules taught include mindfulness, interpersonal effectiveness, emotion regulation, and distress tolerance skills. Those who may benefit from this group includes individuals with personality disorders, mood disorders, anxiety disorders, trauma-related disorders, and any others struggling with regulating their emotions. Must be a Maine or Florida resident, have a good internet connection, and have a private space where you can meet.
