As a therapist (and a human), I am driven to help others meet their needs and achieve their goals within their lives by overcoming barriers of systemic, chronic, internal, interpersonal, and/or situational adversities that continue to hold them back. I specialize in treating people who seek to work through trauma, addiction, and/or mental health challenges that negatively impact their quality of life. People who most enjoy working with me often like my sarcastic (and sometimes dark) humor and direct, but compassionate, approach.
Practicing from a trauma-informed and person-centered perspective, I assist each person in finding a path to healing and recovery that fits their needs, beliefs, passions, and interests. I am EMDR-trained and utilize ego state/parts work, mindfulness, somatic, and other techniques for an integrated approach, with a specialization in treating complex trauma.
Therapy is collaborative work, and we will embark on this journey together. For me, the therapeutic process is about vulnerability, safe connection, attunement, and reconnection with higher self. Facing the shadows in our life can be scary, but it is worth it; and, we'll laugh some along the way.
