About
My client base is focused on the addict and those close to them who have been affected by the addict's behaviors. Clients entering the practice have found themselves caught in a destructive cycle of behaviors; often wishing they could stop, but find themselves continuing the behaviors. Then, there are those the addict has betrayed and hurt deeply through his or her behaviors. The affect of the behaviors have often left the loved ones traumatized and in need of support through the healing process.
My focus is on sexual addiction and trauma. What we know about addiction is that it is displayed through destructive, unhealthy behaviors. Behaviors are symptoms and symptoms tell us there is a much larger story to look at. Without looking at the whole picture, deep healing cannot occur.
I work with clients to identify core issues that drive the behaviors and implement healing strategies to encourage healing and resolution. As a Certified Daring Way Facilitator, I integrate shame resiliency and vulnerability work in order to stimulate healthy connection and intimacy.
