Coming to therapy might seem scary. While it does take courage, success is possible. I have gotten to hear many stories of redemption: marriages that seemed beyond hope gaining incredible intimacy, people whose lives have been riddled with anxiety finally start to take control, and mothers who feel lost in the daily struggle learning to find themselves again. It is possible and I believe you can do it. The road may not be easy but it is worth it. My approach is grounded in Cognitive Behavioral therapy and attachment theory.
My experience is with couples, moms, young adults and teens. I have completed training in Level 3 Gottman Method for Coupes and have seen this method work for both basic communication issues and healing deep wounds such as infidelity and long term resentment. My work with moms focuses on how to be the best parent they can by prioritizing their own health.
I was trained in and can offer a Biblical perspective in counseling but am happy to meet you regardless of your faith. I am interracially married and a mother of three boys. I can understand the challenges associated with marriage and parenting as well as the challenges associated with merging two cultures. Life is tough, you do not have to go it alone.
