I have a passion for working with young children, adolescents, adults, and families. I believe that a family approach to counseling can be beneficial for many to allow change to happen for the whole family unit. I offer a variety of hands-on therapy activities to engage both sides of the brain in the therapeutic process, some include sand tray and expressive arts. I tailor each session based on what the client(s) bring in that day and needs to work on. I have experience working with concerns such as trauma, divorce, life adjustments, behavioral issues, impulse control concerns, self-harm, grief, and self-esteem.
I come from a person-centered approach and choose to meet you (and your children) at your life stage by utilizing understanding, empathy, and openness. I have had extensive training in trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy (TF-CBT), hold a certification in Play and Creativity in Counseling, and have trained in sand tray therapy.
I believe that the therapeutic relationship is a crucial component to the process. Please feel free to reach out for a free 30-minute consultation to see if I am the right fit for you. We can discuss your goals, concerns, and how I may be able to guide you along in your healing journey. You have already begun your journey by seeking the counselor for you.
