My current focus is teens and adults. My trained experience comes with a background working in the substance use disorder field and extensive training in Human Trafficking and Sexual Exploitation. I have worked with local Indigenous communities and understand the magnitude and impacts of generational trauma. Recently, I worked with high- risk teens in an educational setting. Anxiety, life transitions & relationships, and empowerment are all areas of expertise.
I tend to pair mindfulness techniques with evidence based interventions to facilitate all stages change. Some modalities I am trained in include; Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Brief Crisis Intervention, Mindfulness, Solution Focused Therapy, Narrative Therapy and Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR).
My holistic approach to therapy is conversational and client focused. I provide a confidential space with support while you navigate feelings, experiences, and identify current barriers. Together, we explore strategies and challenge thinking patterns. I integrate various evidence-based treatment modalities depending on the area and impact.
