Hello, and welcome! My name is Ashley, and I provide mental health therapy to children and adolescents in a trauma-informed, neurodiversity affirming, and LGBTQIA+ affirming space. I have years of experience working with neurodivergent youth, specifically Autistic youth and ADHDers. I support neurodivergent children in developing and embracing a positive neurodivergent identity, learning and practicing self-advocacy and self-determination. I work with children who have anxiety, as well as those struggling with adjusting to big life changes.
I use a client-centered and strengths based approach to build a meaningful relationship and collaborate with clients to create and reach their goals. Depending on the needs of the child, I use non-directive and directive play therapy, as well as trauma focused CBT (TFCBT). I do NOT use or endorse ABA practices.
I hold space for children with all kinds of communication styles, sensory needs, and preferences. This is a safe space for all, and all of your child is welcome in the play room.
