Some emotions can be too complex to process alone. Distress can develop from daily life, when navigating relationships, and possibly as a result from unacknowledged childhood experiences that resurface. I help foster awareness of your own needs through reflective exercises, mindfulness, skill acquisition, and combating cognitive distortions. I believe that we all hold the answers within ourselves to what causes us distress, but the challenge may be in discovering them. Counseling is a partnership and my role is to guide individuals towards reaching their mental health goals and strengthening their relationships.
I specialize in providing counseling for health anxiety, mother-daughter conflicts, perfectionists, and managing long-distance relationships. I use humanistic, existential, and mindfulness techniques when working with individuals and couples. I create a balanced approach that explores past feelings, identifies present patterns, and outlines areas for change.
Many relationships can benefit as a result of investing and growing through this process. I aim to foster an environment that is authentic, caring and approached with an open mindset.
