About
*I am not currently accepting new clients.* I received my Bachelors in Counseling and minor in Expressive Arts Therapy from Lesley University and my Masters of Social Work from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. I have over five years of experience working with mood disorders, trauma and addiction in various settings. As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker Associate and Licensed Clinical Addictions Specialist Associate, I am passionate about working with individuals with anxiety, depression, mood disorders, trauma, attachment wounds, negative core beliefs and self esteem, body image, grief and loss, as well as addiction.
My training includes Eye-Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT). I also have experience in expressive arts therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and mindfulness. I use an integrated and holistic approach so that therapy is unique to each individual and their needs.
I believe in being collaborative and active in your journey towards healing. I am a partner and guide in the change and growth process. I draw upon a strengths-based approach while incorporating my clinical experience and training with compassion, caring, and thoughtfulness.
