Life can become overwhelming and stressful. Life changes and transitions can lead us to feeling anxious, depressed, or uncertain about how to manage our daily lives. I want to help clients who want to make a change to better manage their life situation or circumstances. I have a lot of experience working with clients with anxiety and depression. I also work with a variety of other diagnoses/issues such as mood disorders, marriage/family, behavioral concerns and substance abuse.
I utilize Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) and incorporate self-awareness, mindfulness, and thoughtfulness. My approach is based on each individual's needs in order to meet their desired goals. Changing negative thinking patterns and distortions into a healthy mind set is the ultimate goal.
As a therapist it is important to build a rapport in a non-judgmental safe space. Together, we will collaborate, discuss goals and begin to understand how your thoughts affect your behaviors and then strive to reach your goals. Together, we will discuss coping skills and how to apply them in your everyday life.
