My work with clients involves creating a space to explore the issues and experiences that have influenced and affected clients. My client experience typically focuses on individuals with depression, anxiety, history of trauma, and interpersonal distress. I engage clients in discussion and exploration to help build deeper understanding of the patterns that are present and how these can be altered. We focus on individual goals and work at a pace and style that is appropriate to the individual.
My approach to therapy includes using aspects from CBT, CPT (Cognitive Processing Therapy), and some DBT (Dialectical Behavioral Therapy) skills to help work toward understanding and changing thoughts and behaviors. I have a mindfulness focus that informs my therapy, working with clients to slow their thought processes and increase self-awareness.
I look forward to having the opportunity to meet with you to help navigate toward the changes you would like to see in your daily life. My motivation is to always remain person-centered and support each client in the way that is most appropriate to their needs and stages. Together we can find the skills, supports, and perspectives best suited to your goals.
