I work from a client-centered theoretical approach and practice from a post-modern and philosophically informed lens. My clinical interests include: artistic expression, mindfulness, sexual and gender identity exploration, sex positive approaches, existential questioning, trauma recovery, couples therapy, harm reduction, religious trauma, and body image. I work with individuals and couples. I have also offered groups centering on consent, sexuality, and relationships in local high schools and I have facilitated workshops on music therapy and media literacy.
I believe in creating a trauma-informed and empathetic space that allows the therapeutic relationship to flourish. There are many ways to explore oneself in therapy and my intention is to provide a safe space for clients of all identities to explore who they are and who they want to become.
I truly enjoy my role and work as a therapist. I believe in the healing power of community and empathic understanding. Together we can collaborate to determine what is going to be healing for you. I have an office in Amarillo, TX, where I meet with in-person clients, and I offer virtual sessions to Texas and Illinois residents.
