Ashleigh is a Licensed Professional Counselor and Registered Play Therapist-Supervisor, providing individual and family therapy with people of all ages. She specializes in working with young children 2-6 years old, as well as teens and young adults. She also provides supervision to associate therapists seeking independent licensure, as well as therapists looking to earn their Registered Play Therapist credentials. Her primarily styles of therapy are Client-Centered and Adlerian approaches.
Skilled in Play Therapy, Sand Tray Therapy and EMDR, Ashleigh treats issues such as trauma, anxiety, depression, anger, grief, low self-esteem, abuse, and neglect. While she also sees children who's families are going through divorce or experienced domestic violence, she does NOT get involved in high-conflict divorce or family court cases.
Children today have a different experience of childhood than most of us did growing up, and we can sometimes forget how hard it is to be a kid who feels powerless to stand up or speak up for themselves. I approach kids with an unconditional positive regard for who they are now, and help them utilize their strengths to build confidence.
