No two people recover in the same way. Ascend starts the treatment process by conducting a comprehensive assessment that takes into consideration the unique needs of our clients and their families. We are constantly evaluating our treatment and intervention to ensure that we are meeting their needs. We utilize an integrative approach to drug, alcohol and mental health issues that blends individual counseling, focused group therapy, family therapy, medication management and wellness practices. We believe that each individual has the right to choose his or her own path to recovery. Our flexible treatment approach demonstrates our respect for individual choice concerning recovery and support of overall wellness.
Substance abuse and Mental Health treatment at Ascend Treatment and Wellness Center is different than the traditional "one size" fits all approach used by many providers who treat these issues. At Ascend, it is our goal to reduce, improve or extinguish problematic behaviors by addressing the underlying psychological components driving the behavior. We do this by using effective, proven clinical strategies in our individual, group, and family therapy sessions. Our approach to treating addiction and mental health problems is derived from Positive Psychology Theory (PPT) which emphasizes character strength and other scientifically studied interventions shown to reduce substance misuse and improve overall well-being. Our goal is to assist each client in reaching his or her individualized and personally defined goals for treatment. The purpose of this highly interactive program is to dispel myths, share information, and teach targeted, practical skills to help you deal more confidently and successfully with anxiety. This group can help you: understand and recognize symptoms of anxiety; know how to leverage anxiety to work for your benefit; apply strategies for self-regulation; identify and challenge automatic negative thoughts and core beliefs that contribute to anxiety; and provide digital tools that help practice and reinforce what you've learned.
