About
Hi! I am Asavari, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist driven by a purpose to facilitate healing in the lives of my clients. I would like to acknowledge you for taking this step towards your wellbeing and am here to create a safe space for you to begin this process. For over ten years, I have worked with individuals, couples and families in US and in India, in a range of settings including medical setting, school and community mental health as well as private practice. As a therapist, I help my clients get “unstuck” by supporting them in bringing forth their resilience and strength to mobilize personal growth.
Over the years I have come to learn that there is no one style of therapy that fits all. I draw on multiple therapeutic modalities including Emotion Focused, Narrative, Cognitive-Behavioral, Solution Focused and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy.
I am an EMDR trained clinician and incorporate EMDR, Mindfulness and Somatic interventions as well. While I use an integrative approach to meet the unique needs of my clients, a person-centered approach, trauma-informed lens and cultural sensitivity define my overall therapeutic approach.
