Greetings! My name is Jatera and I am a Licensed Clinical Therapist specializing in Trauma Focused Care for Adults. I graduated in 2011 from Eastern Michigan University with my MSW degree in Family & Children Services. I also have been trained as a Certified Clinical Trauma Specialist by the National Institute for Trauma and Loss. I have 15 plus years of clinical and case management experience across a variety of settings and age groups. I use a blend of evidence-based programs and practices including EMDR, CBT, Exposure, Cognitive Processing, DBT, ACT, Imagery Rehearsal, MI, Solution-Focused
and Sensory-based therapies to support clients in strengthening their personal well-being. I am particularly concerned with the impact of Trauma recovery. Individuals who have gone through Trauma experiences often struggle with associated symptoms & behaviors. These Trauma symptoms are normal brain chemistry reactions triggered by our natural
survival instincts, however we can get "stuck" in this survival mode even after the initial incident. By allowing the person the opportunity to safely work through their experiences, using a sensory-based treatment approach, significant relief can be achieved. I am happy to provide this safe, structured environment to allow your healing journey to begin.
