Thank you for taking a moment to review some information about me, which might help give you an idea about where I position myself. Since this is a personal statement, I’d like it to reflect the most vital and meaningful things in my life, which include values like acceptance, generosity, curiosity, and discovery. This may reflect in how I show up for the individuals I work with and advocate for. I believe deeply in the transformational power of the therapy space which has helped me love and appreciate life more fully. I believe therapy is most effective as a collaborative process built on trust, openness, and authenticity.
Warmth and genuineness are aspects of my approach and I aim to create a judgment free space where participants feel comfortable engaging in critical thinking and introspection. The models of therapy that I commonly use are mindfulness-based, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, supplemented by behavioral therapies.
Although I have some knowledge and experience about psychological treatments and interventions, the person that may know the most about what works for you is you. I am intentional about the processes in therapy and customize treatment based on the individual I am working with while utilizing evidence-based treatment. I look forward to hearing from you!
