As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with over 10 years experience, I have had the honor of being invited into the lives and struggles of individuals, couples, adolescents, and families. I have been able to integrate solution focused cognitive therapy and psychodynamic client-centered approaches to help clients navigate issues ranging from depression, anxiety, stress, emotional and physical abuse, issues from family of origin, relationship issues involving intimacy and communication that are either a result of early life trauma, or occurring later in life as a result of difficulties with employment, life stresses, and grief and loss.
I help to develop the tools necessary to make significant changes in the way clients cope with emotions, automatic responses to stress and anxiety, and automatic thought processes, which keep them stuck in a cycle of unhappiness and have not allowed them to grow and achieve their fullest potential.
I work with adolescents and their families. I work with parents regarding issues of parenting and co-parenting, communication, understanding childhood development, and acting out; adolescents with issues of self esteem and worth, social inadequacies, difficulty with family of origin, meaning and purpose, and problems related to early childhood trauma.
