My name is Ben Zinke and I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in the State of Idaho (LMFT-9757). My approach to therapy is open, honest, relaxed, encouraging, and educational. I enjoy empowering clients to meet their goals and get the most out of their lives. I typically work with clients who are struggling with depression, anxiety, life adjustments, grief and loss, and career struggles. My therapy tends to be relaxed and conversational. This tends to make clients feel more comfortable even if they have never tried therapy before.
I use Cognitive Behavior Therapy, existential and solution-focused, and psych-education. Aside from my work as a therapist, I have worked as a college professor, mediator, and financial coach and taught anger management and parenting classes. So, sometimes I know some things that are very useful for clients.
I've always enjoyed helping others and pondering life's questions. What drives me to do this work is being a part of my client's success stories. I create goals collaboratively with my clients. It is so important that clients feel comfortable with their therapist.
