My focus is on trauma and attachment issues, especially those related to adoption and foster care. I always begin with a thorough assessment that includes assessment the seven domains that may be affected by Complex Trauma. In addition I work extensively with families of teenagers on relationships, family conflicts, depression, drug and alcohol abuse, and school issues.
A thorough evaluation is essential before any treatment begins. There are different treatments for different conditions. I provide evidence-based and effective treatment for the clients I see. A relationship focused and attachment-focused approach is one I find most helpful. Clients benefit from this approach.
We provide evaluations for custody and court related matters and work with various departments of social services on adoption and foster care matters. In addition, I testify frequently from families in various matters.
