I view therapy as a collaborative process between the practitioner and the client. Together we will work to process and investigate situations, narratives and patterns that you wish to better understand or transform. Compassion, non-judgement and an understanding of the diverse backgrounds and experiences of my clients are at the center of my therapeutic approach. I aim to work with clients to identify which therapy models and tools best fit your needs. I believe that we are the experts in our own healing journey and I wish to facilitate a space where you can access and organize the knowledge you hold.
My population emphasis is on young adults, college students and aging populations and I have a therapeutic focus on working with stress and anxiety. I have experience working in Native communities and with LGBTQ+ populations. I offer individual counseling in person in Eureka or via tele-health where you can access services from the comfort of your own home.
I use an integrated therapeutic approach that combines tools from multiple therapeutic modalities. Currently my major focuses are relational, cultural affirming and trauma informed. I also incorporate skills from ACT, CBT, Narrative Therapy, Compassionate Inquiry, , Somatics and DBT. I am certified in FLASH.
