Kids are under enormous pressure at home, in school and with peers. These pressures can present themselves in many ways -- as childhood anxiety, adolescent depression, or school behavioral problems. My focus is on making your child feel heard, while providing them with a tool belt of coping mechanisms that can be accessed whenever they are feeling overwhelmed. Your child will build self-esteem along with practical emotional awareness and regulation skills that can be incorporated into their daily lives.
I am a LCSW with experience working with children and adolescents in NY. My bachelor's degree is in psychology and I obtained my masters of science in social work from Columbia University and a masters of arts in teaching from Relay Graduate School of Education. I've worked in many settings with youth including school, hospital, and private practice.
Treatment is built on collaborative goals and tailored from different developmentally appropriate evidence based techniques, including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), narrative therapy as well as both play and art therapy. I am an out of network provider and am happy to assist with paperwork needed to help with reimbursement from your insurance carrier.
