I provide child, adolescent and adult psychotherapy for a variety of issues, including anxiety, low self esteem, trauma, adoption and loss. With these kinds of issues, play and art therapy interventions are helpful for children and adolescents. For clients struggling with anxiety and developmental issues such as Autism, ADHD, a more didactic, cognitive-behavioral strategy oriented approach can be used. My work with adults is psychodynamically based with use of strategies from dialectical and cognitive therapies as warranted. Another important component of my practice is neuropsychological assessment for learning, attention, social and emotional issues in children, adolescents and adults.
I specialize in evaluating and treating children with Autism Spectrum Disorders. I also have extensive experience in working with children who have experienced trauma. In my practice I supervise Post Doctoral students to offer high quality service at a more affordable fee for both testing and therapy.
My knowledge and understanding of developmental psychology and child development adds a deeper understanding to my work with adults. I have areas of specialization in Autism Spectrum Disorders, ADHD, developmental and Learning disabilities. I have studied and apply the techniques offered by Dialectical Behavioral and Cognitive Behavioral Therapies in situations where it is applicable.
