I received my initial professional education at Yerevan State University and obtained a doctoral degree in clinical psychology from the California School of Professional Psychology, Los Angeles, at Alliant International University. I have received generalist training and have experience working with children, adolescents, and adults in community mental health, schools, and intensive outpatient settings. I am passionate about working with culturally diverse individuals.
I consider initiating mental health services as a demonstration of the individual’s inner strength. Just the fact that you are aware of your distress and are willing to take a step shows your commitment to improving your quality of life. My goal in treatment is to create a safe environment for you to speak and be heard.
I consider the therapeutic relationship and communication an essential part of the change, and for it to happen, we need to establish a trusting relationship where concerns and observations can be shared and heard.
