My name is Dr. Arnold Tilden and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor. Early on, we will set goals for our counseling and regularly check our progress. We work as partners in reaching our goals. My approach, although eclectic, is influenced by Albert Ellis and his Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy or REBT. The central concept is that our thinking (Rational) influences our emotions (Emotive), which drives or behavior.
Successful counseling relationships are based in trust and that serves as the target in our initial goal setting session.
