In a safe, warm and supportive environment, I help clients deal with their current stressful situations and relationships as well as long term unresolved pains and disappointments. Sometimes these are related, and exploring how the past affects the present is helpful and freeing. Patterns that may be self-defeating are highlighted, and more effective problem-solving and coping skills are developed. Through our work together, clients grow while getting through whatever crisis, transition or stuck place they may be in.
I enjoy working with people who are going through developmental and/or transitional challenges ( e.g., divorce, marriage, parenting, empty nest, retirement, loss) and helping clients feel empowered in all aspects of their lives.
My style is active/interactive and combines a psychodynamic, interpersonal and practical approach.
