An ideal client for me would be someone interested in exploring the past to understand better how it affects them in the current. Someone who wants to gain a better appreciation of themselves and live their life true to themselves. I tend to work best with clients who are motivated to explore themselves. I encourage clients to experience emotions in session and gain an understanding of where those feelings come from.
I am specialized in LGBTQ+ care and affirmative psychotherapy. I believe in accepting and loving yourself for who you are, inside and out. I offer a psychodynamic perspective on treatment that is informed by cultural sensitivity and affirmative psychotherapy, and client-centered approaches.
I believe in radical self-acceptance, self-love, and self-care. Learning to care for and appreciate yourself is a long journey, and the road is often paved with challenges. While those challenges can be exhausting, you do not need to go on that journey alone. Regardless of what you have been through, there is always hope for a better future.
