Many people are feeling anxious, overwhelmed, or unable to cope in today's world. Seeking support is the first step on a heaing journey. For over 25 years I've worked with clients who have been experiencing a variety of challenges. My primary focus has been with people who have substance abuse problems or their loved ones.Most have underlying trauma expressing itself in a multitude of ways; anxiety, depression, body image, substance abuse, & self harm. Trauma and loss have increased in our current world. As a response, I've expanded my client base to address the myriad losses, and the resulting trauma many people are facing today.
Above all, my counseling approach is client centered. Using traditional or optional expressive approaches, clients discover increased self understanding while opening new roads for healing, empowering the self. Expressive approaches include, art making, collage, sound, meditation, journaling, among others.
I have been told by the many clents I have worked with that they feel a sense of calm following our sessions, enabaling them clarity to see and build the road ahead. By providing a safe space for sharing and expression, change can happen. Please feel free to contact me for a free initial session.
