I am an Expressive Arts Therapist (EAT) and Licensed Professional Counselor Candidate (LPCC) who specializes in issues related to mood, grief and loss, attachment trauma, relationships, body image and identity. My work is grounded in expressive arts therapy, body-oriented psychotherapy and mindfulness. Informed by robust clinical training and spiritual orientation, I offer a person-centered approach with a deep trust in all my clients’ ability to cope effectively and meaningfully with life. My work empowers adults to recover the authentic self often masked during normative development but especially in the wake of trauma and loss.
The bi-lateral nature of my clinical and creative background integrates evidence-based principles such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) with expressive modalities including visual art, writing, movement and dramatic enactment to suit individual client needs.
Creativity in session need not take artistic form but rather informs my orientation towards heart and body-centered processes as vehicles of experience and expression. We may work verbally or experientially to explore the insight and skills that support self-compassion, psychological resilience, emotional and creative expression and relational authenticity.
