Welcome! My name is Arielle, I also go by AJ, and I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker with an MSW from the University of MN. My approach to therapy is rooted in intersectional feminism, racial equity, and queer and trans liberation. I am excited to work with individuals of all gender and sexual identities. As a queer, gender-expansive person, I am especially passionate about working with folks from the LGBTQIA2S+ community, particularly those who identify as bi+, pansexual, trans, nonbinary, and/or minoritized/invisible in our community. I bring an interpersonal, trauma-informed, strengths-based lens to this work.
I love incorporating mindfulness into therapy and offer a warm presence for people experiencing grief and loss. My areas of focus include exploring identity/vocation, processing religious trauma, navigating relationship challenges, and supporting folks along their transition. My practice is informed by attachment theory, parts work, and relational therapy.
I seek to provide a safe, affirming space through active listening, encouragement, and a person-centered approach. My clients know me as an uplifting and enthusiastic believer in their worth and ability to heal, transform, and grow.
