My name is Ariel Wilcoxen. I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) based in Southern California and I work with clients statewide via telehealth. I work with adults, couples, families, and adolescents. I specialize in anxiety, depression, stress, and trauma. My theoretical orientation is comprised of rational emotive behavior therapy (REBT), Adlerian, and Transactional analysis. I also have experience with Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), Dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and reality therapy to assist with guiding clients toward healing and/or achieving their personal goals.
Over the years, have found that my style and approach are a good fit for adults, young adults, couples, and adolescents who may be dealing with life’s obstacles and various social pressures. This often presents as anxiety, depression, stress, and trauma.
During the therapeutic process, I assist clients with navigating through each phase of treatment to assist with developing new insights, self-awareness, and effective coping strategies. These tools will assist clients with managing lives and various social pressures with a new confidence and inner strength.
