About
My passion is working with young children who have experienced trauma, specifically child abuse and traumatic grief. I believe death is a part of life and we all grieve differently. I have provided counseling services for young children and adolescents, as well as caregivers and young adults. I have worked with trauma, anxiety, depression, adjustment issues, grief, family-dynamics issues, and attachment wounds. I have a passion in attachment-based therapy between child and caregiver. I have also found a passion working with the LGBTQ+ community, specifically teenagers and young adults in the process of finding their sexual identity.
I have experience utilizing Trauma Focused – Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Attachment-Based Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Directive Sand Tray Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Somatic Therapy, and Task-Centered (TC) model, and Play Therapy.
I believe vulnerability is a precious gift that can foster a trusting working relationship between counselor and client. This collaborative approach can facilitate growth, insight, and healing. I would be honored to accompany you on your journey to healing and growth.
