I specialize in adolescent and adult counseling for those coping with trauma, anxiety, parenting stress, cancer treatment or survival of cancer, and adult insecure attachment. I have over 5 years of experience working in human services and received my Master of Science in Professional Counseling from Carlow University. I believe everyone is shaped by their past, but the past can sometimes come to haunt you. Arriving at a place of peace often involves reprocessing those past painful memories and facing the negative messages that those experiences told you about yourself.
My mission as a counselor is to meet you where you are, help you build up a toolbox of coping skills, and then venture into the journey of healing with you. I believes that every person possesses the ability to heal themselves with their own power, and that it is crucial that I, as a therapist, foster hope in healing.
I utilizes cognitive therapy and EMDR therapy to help clients articulate their thoughts and core beliefs, but also employ attachment theory, cognitive processing therapy, and trauma-focused care to help her clients seek the changes they want in their lives.
