My specialty is in complex trauma, issues for women, anxiety, grief, relationship issues, and adjustment difficulties. Many of my clients seek counseling for unresolved trauma and grief that negatively impacts their functioning and relationships, resulting in dysfunction, anxiety, depression, shame, or codependency. I'm dedicated to helping clients heal from past experiences, rebuild self worth, and find happiness and meaning. I care deeply for working with survivors of suicide and those who have lost a loved one to drug overdose. I enjoy working with clients adjusting to the challenges and changes associated with parenthood.
I utilize techniques such as EMDR, CBT, EFT and Attachment Theory. I help clients develop awareness and understanding of the impact of their beliefs about themselves and others, and their patterns of personal and interpersonal behaviors. Through insight, deeper connection, and compassion, clients are able to heal past wounds and create meaningful change.
Healing occurs when we feel safe, seen, heard and understood. I strive to make certain that clients feel this way in each session. My clients describe me as warm, easy to talk to, non-judgmental, validating, and empathic. I encourage my clients to set the pace and topic for each session and respect that they are the expert on their lives and needs.
