I work with couples & individuals, especially around anxiety, depression, and trauma. I trained in Focusing, a somatic mindfulness technique. Combining Focusing with Art Therapy provides a powerful way through what is troubling you into an enhanced, healthy, life. I believe healing happens when we make connections with another person where we can be ourselves, feel valued, listened to, and cared for. Working with a therapist can be a way to access the healing you desire and deserve.
I've completed post-graduate certificate training in Art Therapy for healing trauma. My model is strengths-based, identifying what IS working, increasing insight, and building resilience so you can do more of what works AND successfully navigate what isn't working. I am strongly influenced by both Internal Family Systems (IFS) and Gestalt Therapy.
We'll look at ALL aspects of you, no judgement. When our totality is seen, heard and cared for, shifts toward healing happen. You don't need to do a "Big Dig" to examine the past, yet you CAN change the way the past impacts the present. If you're up for making art, that's great-yet not required.
