My name is Areen Fakhoury, and I am a licensed marriage and family therapist. I have a bachelor's degree in psychology, and a master's degree in marriage and family therapy. The way I approach therapy is that I prioritize who you are as a person and what you want to get out of our time together. I have experience working with adults, couples and family groups. I have been primarily meeting with women of all ages and stages, helping them navigate identity, stress, life transitions and various relationships.
Her therapeutic lens is person-centered and humanistic, this means the clients are seen as the expert in their lives. Her goal is to assist people in working towards fulfilling their fullest potential, healing inner child wounding and current relationships. As well as regaining a new perspective on life, as a whole.
I focus on where the client is at in the beginning of sessions and go from there to navigate what is on their mind. I never preplan sessions as I know my clients are not robots and every week could mean something different. I do however make sure we have a main goal in mind to track progress and make sure my clients are benefiting from therapy.
