Micah Baker is a Licensed Psychological Examiner and School Psychology Specialist who has devoted his career to providing services to children and families of Northwest and Central Arkansas. Micah excels in working with children, adults, and families dealing with emotional, behavioral, and academic difficulties.

As necessary as change often is, it can also be one of the hardest things to do. It seems safe to stay with what we know even if it's not what's for our best. The good news is is that change is indeed possible! Having an outside perspective to process your story and to begin to interpret and understand things differently can be a vital as you pursue growth and change. The lens of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) considers your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors and how these interact as well as how they influence our interactions with others; it acknowledge the past while focusing primarily on growth in the present and future.

I am a Licensed Master Social Worker, skilled in the support of diverse people groups. I am passionate about people, and count it a privilege to support individuals, couples and families along their personal journeys toward emotional and relational wholeness. I understand how difficult life can be; as a survivor of domestic violence I have personally navigated the deep waters of low-self esteem, self-doubt and self-sabotage to emerge on the other side of the darkness victorious! It is my life-long calling to destroy the walls of limitation holding people hostage-if you are ready to take the journey-my bags are packed!

I believe there is hope in all circumstances and healing to be found. I have been told that I am a good listener. This is an essential quality in a good therapist but it is by no means sufficient. Throughout my training, I have collected what I believe to be the most effective strategies and perspectives for bringing about change in a person's behaviors and beliefs that is consistent with who the individual wishes to be. I am particularly proud that I have been able to work effectively with people of broadly varying belief systems in ways that enable them to call on already existing internal resources to improve their lives within their own personal environment.

Christine received her Masters of Social Work from the University of Arkansas. She has provided out patient therapy for adults, Intensive Family Services, marital counseling, and adoption studies since 2005. Christine enjoys working with individuals (6 and up), couples, and families who want to increase communication, understanding, and commitment. Christine offers clients in person and telehealth counseling sessions in Florida. She is a Qualified Supervisor under the Florida guidelines for Social Work Interns. Christine will continue to offer her clients in Arkansas Telehealth counseling.

I received my Master of Social Work from the University of Arkansas and have served the mental health needs of the Northwest Arkansas area since 2004. I am clinically trained in building and maintaining relationships and have years of experience providing counseling services in the Northwest Arkansas and River Valley school districts. I have provided therapy to clients of all ages, maintaining the purpose of "meeting the client where they are at" to ensure a foundation of empathy and a safe place to process through life struggles.

As a therapist I try to be very pragmatic: what works and what is true, in my opinion have to be the same thing. The Adlerian question: "What is it that will be different for you when we have successfully finished psychotherapy?" Is the navigating principle of the therapeutic map. I am convinced (and research supports me) that the counseling relationship is, by far the most powerful positive factor in successful psychotherapy.

My goal is to create a safe space that is accepting and empowering. I am understanding and provide honesty and hope for my clients. I believe it takes a tremendous amount of courage to begin a journey of personal growth. I see my role as a process facilitator. I utilize my experience, skills, and training to help my clients resolve problems, improve relationships and gain useful life tools. I believe that we are all capable of change, growth, and healing. I hold a Masters of Science in Counseling and an Ed.S. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Harding University.

I am a Licensed Profession Counselor and a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor. I have been established in the NWA area for some time. I enjoy working with individuals and families to resolve issues.
