I offer couples counseling in-person in my Rogers, AR office.
You’re building a successful life together, but your relationship feels fragile. Arguments repeat without resolution, trust has been shaken, and somehow, you’ve begun to feel like strangers in the same home. You try to talk to each other, but instead you manage to talk past each other. Sometimes the words you say and the words you hear cut deep. Criticism and blame dominate your relationship to the point that you just go to your own corners, hurt and feeling defeated. This isn’t how you thought your relationship would go. You want more than survival. You long to be understood, valued, and deeply connected again.

Therapy is the opportunity to walk alongside people in their most difficult of times. Each individual or family has their own story to tell and it is an honor to join them on their journey. My goal in counseling is to provide a safe place for clients to share their stories and provide hope and practical help along the way.

I offer sessions in-person for preschool, elementary school children, preteens, and teens.
Thanks for visiting my page! As a Registered Play Therapist (RPT), I specialize in supporting children and teens ages 3-18. My playroom is a fully equipped space designed to meet kids where they are - developmentally, emotionally, and creatively. In my room, kids don’t need to have all the words. Through play, sandtray, and art, I help them explore their experiences and learn new ways to cope and connect. For teens, sessions may look more like conversation than play, but the heart of my approach remains the same.

I see clients in person and via telehealth.
Have you wondered if this season of darkness will ever end? If you’ll find the energy to keep going? Or worried that stopping to face everything might feel like too much—like it could pull you under? In times like these, we all need a safe place where we can show up—ugly, unfiltered, and real—and lay it all out on the table. But asking for help? That’s hard, isn’t it?

My therapeutic approach is to help individuals confront and understand the deeper aspects of who they are to foster personal growth and fulfillment. I’m here to encourage you to explore your most radically authentic self, in its lights and shadows, and meet you there with respect and warmth. I once read that it takes great courage to celebrate our mistakes and our successes, and it's in this space that I believe true peace is found.

FAQ - About In Person Therapy
What are the benefits of in-person therapy?
In-person therapy offers several benefits that some people find highly valuable for their mental health treatment. Being present in the same room as your therapist can create a stronger sense of connection and allow for more nuanced communication through body language. Some people may also find it easier to focus in therapy when they are in a dedicated space and away from potential distractions related to home or work; attending an in-person session provides a clear boundary between therapy time and the rest of your life. For certain therapeutic approaches, such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), exposure therapy, or somatic therapy, being in person may be particularly important, as these therapies benefit from the therapist being able to observe and respond to a client’s physical cues effectively. Additionally, some individuals simply feel more comfortable discussing sensitive or painful topics when they are face-to-face with their therapist rather than on a screen.

When should I choose in-person therapy over online therapy?
In-person therapy may be a better choice when you need a structured therapeutic environment separate from your daily life, when you find it difficult to focus or feel comfortable in an online setting, or when privacy at home is a concern. It may also be more appropriate if you are dealing with severe mental health symptoms that require close monitoring or if your therapy involves approaches that rely heavily on observing physical cues. On the other hand, if convenience, scheduling flexibility, or access to specialists outside your immediate area are priorities, online therapy may be a better fit. Many therapists offer both options, so you can also discuss with a provider which format might work best for your specific situation.

How do I find an in-person therapist?
You can use Psychology Today's therapist directory to find an in-person therapist in your area. You can search by location, insurance accepted, specialty areas, therapeutic approaches, and other criteria to narrow down providers who meet your needs. Each therapist profile includes information about their credentials, areas of expertise, and whether they offer in-person sessions. Once you have identified potential therapists, you can contact them directly through the directory to schedule an initial consultation and determine whether they are a good fit before committing to ongoing treatment. When reaching out, it can be helpful to confirm their availability for in-person appointments, their office location, and whether they accept your insurance.
