As a Latina woman in Northwest Arkansas I have often struggled with identity. Constantly navigating between cultures can be detrimental to our self identity. This "otherness" often leads to anxiety and depression that seems inescapable. Learning to own all parts of ones self is crucial to mental wellbeing and to understanding the self. Or maybe you struggle with other issues like anxiety, depression, or ADHD (to name a few) and you don't feel like you have a community who understands how difficult that can be on your mental health.

I believe all individuals carry heavy questions about their life: Why am I here? What am I supposed do? Why do I feel bad? The weight of these thoughts can cause distress in our minds and bodies. Vineyard Counseling is a practice located in Northwest Arkansas that operates from a faith-based perspective while employing clinical theory and techniques to serve clients. Whether it is marital or family conflict, depression or anxiety, my hope for clients is that they not merely see their life experiences and struggles as problems to be "fixed", but as a process of being formed and changed in the innermost dimensions of the heart. I attended Harding University and graduated with my B.A. in Psychology and my M.S. in Counseling. I have 24 years of experience in the mental health field. I primarily treat adults who are suffering from depression, anxiety, trama, PTSD, relationship issues, grief, bipolar disorder, and personality disorder. I believe that every client I treat deserves respect and has the ability to empower themselves to meet their individual life goals. I work with children (10+), adolescents, adults, and the geriatric population providing individual, play, & relational therapy along with parent education with biological, foster, and adopted children. I am trained in EMDR therapy; a therapy designed specifically for anxiety and trauma in both children and adults. I have a therapy dog, Dietrich, a standard poodle. His focus is helping to calm anxiety when he senses it by being present and tranquil.
